We are a member of ASM International, a society whose mission is to gather, process and disseminate technical information. ASM fosters the understanding and application of engineered materials and their research, design, reliable manufacture, use and economic and social benefits. This is accomplished via a unique global information-sharing network of interaction among members in forums and meetings, education programs, and through publications and electronic media.

We are a member of Metal Treating Institute, a nonprofit trade association of heat treating companies and their suppliers. The mission of MTI is to represent the corporate heat treating industry and to lead innovative companies toward superior competitiveness and profitability by being a valid resource for information, education and technology transfer.

In 1995, we installed an office network and computerized work order system to increase our quality, traceability, and productivity. The system was designed by MicroShop Systems of Bernardsville, New Jersey, and has been continuously upgraded since. MicroShop provides a full-range of computer services for over seventy customers throughout the East Coast. They specialize in custom computer software designed to meet their customers' specific needs. They also provide consulting services, software training, and hardware sales, service, installation, and support.

We are a member of the National Association of Manufacturers. The NAM was founded in 1895 to advance a pro-growth, pro-manufacturing policy agenda. More than a century later, the NAM continues to be the leading voice for manufacturers in the United States. The mission of NAM is to enhance the competitiveness of manu-facturers and improve living standards for working Americans by shaping a legislative and regulatory environment conducive to U.S. economic growth, and to increase understanding among policy makers, the media and the general public about the importance of manufacturing to America's economic strength.

We are a member of the National Federation of Independent Business, the nation's largest advocacy organization representing small and independent businesses. With a membership of over 600,000 small business owners with more than seven million employees, NFIB spans the entire spectrum of American business from high tech manufacturers, health care professionals and consultants, to contractors, local retailers and service companies.

We are a member of the North Carolina Chamber, the largest broad-based business advocacy organization in the state with a mission of proactively driving change to make sure that North Carolina is a leading place in the world to do business. More than 35,000 businesses of all size and sectors are members of the North Carolina Chamber and partners in its Chamber Federation.

Founded in 1942, the North Carolina Chamber is the state affiliate of the U. S. Chamber of Commerce and National Association of Manufacturers. NC Magazine is the official publication of the North Carolina Chamber.

Employee safety, waste minimization, and regulatory compliance are key factors in our effort to continuously improve our operations. We utilize the Safety-Kleen Total Environmental Activity Management program to help achieve our safety and environmental goals.

We rely on Tri-Met Computers for our computer hardware needs. Tri-Met was established in 1989 as a computer sales and service company to provide the Triangle region affordable prices on everything from computer systems to system repairs, upgrades, networking, and web design.
